The Roman Baths and Pump Room

The Roman bathing establishment built the magnificent Temple and Baths between the first and fifth centuries A.D. Built around the natural hot springs which rise at 46C. The remains are remarkably complete and among the finest in Europe.

No.1 Royal Crescent

No.1 Royal Crescent was the first house to be built as part of John Wood's architectural masterpiece. Magnificently restored to represent a picture of fashionable life in the 18th century, the Georgian interior design has many examples of authentic furniture, paintings, carpets and textiles.

Sally Lunn's Refreshment House & Museum

Holburne Museum of Art

One of the country's great small museums, The Holburne houses a wonderfully rich collection of paintings, silver, sculpture, furniture and porcelain, with important works by Gainsborough, Guardi, Stubbs and Turner. Housed in the eighteenth-century Sydney Hotel and set within the park of Sydney Gardens, it is Bath's most beautiful museum.

The Jane Austen Centre

The Jane Austen Centre at 40 Gay Street in Bath is a permanent exhibition which tells the story of Jane Austen's Bath experience - the effect that living here had on her and her writing.
The exhibition is enhanced during 2007 with 'Costumes from ITV's Persuasion' featuring the dresses worn by Sally Hawins as Ann Elliot. The stunning costumes are the work of BAFTA award winner Andrea Galer.

Theatre Royal Bath

More than two hundred years old, the beautiful Georgian Theatre Royal offers a year-round programme of top-quality drama, comedy, opera and dance. The Royal Crescent

The Royal Crescent is one of the world's best known landmarks. Built between 1767 and 1775 and designed by John Wood the younger, the crescent contains some 30 houses, one of which is now the Royal Crescent Hotel, another is Number 1 and open to the public.
