Lacock Abbey, Fox Talbot Museum

Built in the thirteenth century by the Countess of Salisbury, Lacock Abbey was sold after the dissolution of the monasteries and eventually fell in to the hands of the Talbot family, William Fox Talbot the inventor of the negative-positive photographic process.
Now a National Trust property, you can wander around the grounds, explore the abbey, and discover the history of photography in the Fox Talbot Museum.
