Discover the Cotswolds Tour


We have carefully created a week long holiday that we think takes in the best of the Cotswolds and also some famous tourist attractions just outside the region. During the week, you will taste the fresh countryside air, visit idyllic villages built from Cotswold Stone and explore historic houses and famous gardens. All this and Shakespeare's town of Stratford upon Avon and the architecturally stunning city of Bath.
The price includes three nights accommodation at the Noel Arms hotel in Chipping Campden and three nights at Wyck Hill House hotel, near Stow on the Wold.

Itinerary

Day 1
You will be met from the airport and driven to your Cotswolds hotel where you can relax and unwind at your leisure.

Day 2
Your first day exploring the Cotswolds. Our expert driver guide will show you the best of the Cotswolds whilst explaining rural life past and present. You will visit our favourite Cotswold towns and villages with wonderfully historic High Streets dating back to the 14th century, villages built with the signature honey colour Cotswold stone and gardens that rival the Chelsea flower show! In the afternoon a visit to Snowshill Manor, a National Trust House that contains an extraordinary collection of international pieces of craftsmanship and design set in beautiful gardens. All of this and time to take in the scenery, pick up some souvenirs and enjoy a cream tea or a pub lunch.

Day 3
A self guided day exploring Stratford upon Avon, the birthplace of England's most celebrated playwright, William Shakespeare. It has become a world renowned tourist destination, and it's just a short drive from the Cotswolds.

Day 4
Enjoy a leisurely day exploring the countryside on foot. Starting from the market town of Chipping Campden you will follow The Cotswold Way taking in some outstanding views over the Vale of Evesham until you reach Broadway Tower. Then down the hill to the Jewel of the Cotswolds, Broadway in time for lunch. After quenching your thirst and a hearty pub lunch you'll be driven the short distance to Hidcote Manor garden. This large but intimate garden is laid out as a series of outdoor rooms with terraces and pools and wonderful views across the Cotswold countryside. Next it's off to Kiftsgate Court garden. A much loved and renowned collection of Roses which is the creation of 3 generations of women gardeners.

Day 5
A day spent visiting picture perfect Cotswold towns and villages, unchanged for hundreds of years. Including Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury as well as less famous villages that reatin the rustic charm of Englands largest area of outstanding natral beauty.

Day 6
A self guided day exploring the Roman city of Bath. There is also the option to end the day in Castle Combe. A picture perfect Cotswold village which was recently used as a location for the Spielberg film, Warhorse.

Day 7
Departure day. Our driver will collect you from your hotel to take you back to the airport or location of your choice.

Our itineraries are meticulously planned, but if you want to change any of the details of the tour, including accommodation, let your travel advisor know and they will happily make any adjustments.
