"The most beautiful village in England," is how William Morris, (founder of the Arts and Crafts Movement and one of England's most famous designers) described Bibury. Just a short drive east of Cirencester. It’s actually two villages separated by the River Coln, Arlington on one side and Bibury on the other. Once flourishing from the wool trade it has also seen more turbulent times (although it’s hard to imagine now).
