Lechlade

A boating resort in the Cotswolds, Lechlade is the highest navigable point of the River Thames. It’s possible to travel by boat all the way to London from here.
Lechlade is a market town with two fine bridges. The view from St Johns Bridge, across the lock and the meadows to the spire of St Lawrence’s church is especially fine.
