To the southern end of the Cotswolds is Tetbury. With records dating back to the 7th century there is history a plenty here. Another town that prospered from the Wool Trade, you will find the grand Market House at the heart of the town supported by three great rows of stone pillars. Difficult to miss is the tall spire of St Mary’s church at the western end.
Prince Charles likes it so much, he has a residence nearby at Highgrove, where the young princes, William and Harry spent much of their youth.
Just a short drive away is Westonbirt Arboretum with a large collection of rare and unusual trees and shrubs, including a selection of Japanese maples.
