Lying beneath the Cotswold escarpment between Winchcombe and Broadway are the villages, Stanton and Stanway. They are an ideal visit on the way to or after visiting Broadway. These picture perfect villages are often unseen by tourists who head straight to the larger attractions. A hunting ground for photographers who want a postcard memory of the Cotswolds. Unspoilt by shops or amenities, Stanton has just one pub, The Mount nestling at the top of the main street. Many of the cottages in the villages date back to the 16th and 17th centuries. Lovingly restored the gardens are as exquisite as the properties themselves. If you are lucky, you may see someone re-roofing a house or cottage with traditional thatch.
